with an artistic touch

Looking through the mirror ball...

It was a bit chilly today but we still managed to enjoy a few hours outside. I took a whole bunch of pictures of Brooklyn, the animals and flowers. Here are a few of my favorites.

My little monkey

Brooklyn and i try to make it to the park at least 4 times a week. I try to go so often because Brooklyn is a little monkey. Brooklyn can climb all by herself onto all the chairs, beds and even the kitchen table and she can climb down again with no assistance. She is so strong for such a tiny little girl. Going to the park gives her a place to do what she loves and is so good at without giving mom a heart attack. Today there was a 3 year old boy named Texas playing at the park and Brooklyn had no trouble keeping up with him. They were so cute together. Brooklyn's physical and mental strength are not that of a 16 month old . There is not doubt in my mind that Brooklyn is going to be an honor role student and an all star athlete. Here are some pictures of my little monkey climbing up and down on the jungle gym.

Our backyard

For my Mom for Easter Tara and i weeded, planted and cleaned up the backyard. Here are the results of many hours of hard labor. Brooklyn can now enjoy spending time again in the backyard.

Just Another Day

We are back in action! My camera finally got fixed and i can again take millions of pictures of my precious child! Today we went to El Dorado park had a picnic and fed the ducks. When we got home Brooklyn and Jayden played in the hose together. This is a typical day in the life of mommy and Brooklyn...busy, busy, busy! Today was a big day because Brooklyn pooped in the toilet. Going pee pee is old news and no big deal for her and i was fearing that pooping was going to be our struggle, but again Brooklyn proved me wrong! I almost took a picture of it but don't worry i didn't!

got to go pee pee

I decided a couple weeks ago to buy a potty chair for Brooklyn. I didn't have high hopes because she is so young. But to my surprise she used it the first day. Potty training has actually been fun. One of my favorite things of motherhood is watching Brooklyn learn. I love to see her wheels spinning and eventually figuring it out. Brooklyn has always learned things very quickly and potty training is looking to be no different! She has actually peed in the toilet many times and is now asking to do it herself! I love my mini genius!

Just a Brooklyn update

I still don't have my camera so i feel like i am missing out on every cute thing she does. Yesterday we spent a couple hours just playing in the hose. I sat on the sidewalk and got some sun and Brooklyn watered all the flowers, drank tons of hose water and tried to squirt me. Some of Brooklyn's new favorite things to do are walk backwards and sideways, climb up and sit like a big girl on the dinning room chairs and read book to me. Some new words this week are poop poo, she will walk up to me point to her diaper and say poop poo. She also points to the toilet and the grass outside and will say poop poo. She knows we poop in toilets, dogs poop on the grass and that she poops in her diaper! She now knows what a cow says "moooooooo". Last but not least she says "snack"! She walks up to her snack bowl cupboard grabs a bowl then walks to the pantry opens the door and picks what kind of cracker she wants. She will also now open the fridge and point to whatever she wants. Brooklyn is such a smart little baby and i am so glad i get to stay home a nurture her curious little mind and desire to learn!
