otter pops and somersalts

Brooklyn's HUGE obsession over the last few weeks is trying to eat as many otter pops in one day as she can, and finally conquering the somersault. I regret giving Brooklyn her first otter pop because all i hear ALL day is "mama otter pop". She eats at least 3 a day and she HAS to pick the color...green being her favorite! Yesterday she finally was able to kick her feet over her head and do a perfect somersalt! She has been doing sideways ones for a while but now she is a pro!!! I need to get this girl into a tumbling class ASAP!!!

water logged

If i allowed, Brooklyn would be wet all day!!!!!!!!!! Brooklyn loves this water play area at Disneyland. She could play here for hours. When i am done with this we are off to eastgate pool to sign up for swimming lessons...should be fun!!!!!!!

crazy

Here is Brooklyn being crazy and making a crazy noise

v is for video

We have been working on our letters. Brooklyn is starting to reconize B, M, G and T in books and when i write them on the sidewalk or paper. To my surprise yesterday while driving home Tara says " Brooklyn, B is for...Brooklyn shouts Baby, Tare says M is for she shouts mama, T is for she shouts Aunt T, G is for she shouts GIGI the went on with D for DAD and J for JAJA". I was shocked I had no idea she knew that. At this point I think Brooklyn is going to be writing her name before she is going to be saying her name!!! I am going to try to get it on camera today...i will try to post it soon!

the second best day of my life

Yesterday was the last day we could go to disneyland for 4 weeks. We got there around 1:30 and stayed till 7pm. We got our faces painted, bought Brooklyn a new Cinderella, won her a new duck, watched two parades, rode the carosal, hugged mickey, belle and sleeping beauty. Brooklyn was in a fantastic mood. While we were sitting on the crub waiting for the parade to start Brooklyn entertained a crowd of at least 100 people. She danced, sang, jumped, spun, did yoga, and even would run up and hug random people. She couldnt get enough of the attention. Our next visit i am going to go really late watch the electrical parade and the firworks....

a morning at the beach

This is how we spent our morning :)

My super model

Brooklyn loves to watch me put on make-up and do my hair for work. I let her sit on the counter and give her a blush brush to mess around with. Last weekend she was begging me to put make up on her face, so i did. I also put a headband in her hair Here is the result...(take note of the facial expression)

I have been asked before by photographers whom i have met through work to let them take pictures of her to use in their adds. I have always told them "no" becuase Brooklyn is not that coorprative. But every now and then i see pictures of her like this and realize what a beautiful little girl she is...maybe she is a model in the making!

because i deserve it!

Because my life has been stressful over the past few weeks i decided to cash in one of my burke williams gift cards. SO from 3-7 today i will be soaking in the spa, steaming in the steam room, resting in the quiet room and having my body washed and rubbed. Damnit i deserve it!!!!

Hunter's retreat...
....begins wiht an exfoliating scrub massaged onto you skin. Then, we thoroughly cleanse you with wheat stalks, soaked in exotic cleansers while cascading warm waters rinses your entire body. Cleasned and bathed again, you're towel dried and moisturizing oil is massaged into your skin.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you cant be outside because you're a "baby"

My poor kitty cries and cries at the door the whole time that Brooklyn and i are outside. I decided to buy him an outdoor adventure cage...the things I do for my children!!!

She decided

Brooklyn decided that she is too big to sit in a high chair any more.

the happiest day of my life

I decided to tackle Disney alone today. I have always gone with either Tara or Lisa because I have always feared it to be too difficult to push a stroller and chase a 18 month old. But I did it and not only was it easy, it was the best day of my life. Because I didn't have someone there to chat with or distract me, I was able to completely enjoy the company of my daughter. We spent the day as friends, best friends. We rode the carousal twice, got matching butterflies painted on our face, ate hot dogs, shared a churro and danced and sang while we watched two parades. Brooklyn didn't whine or cry once, and probably gave me more hugs and kisses in one day than ever before (and i get TONS of hugs and kisses everyday). We laughed together, we chatted with eachother, and just enjoyed eachothers company. She is such an amazing child with such a special soul. Today was day I know I will never forget!

Taking a stroll with a good friend

Brooklyn waited in line patiently to see Minnie and when it came her turn, she ran up and gave Minnie a huge hug. Minnie then grab Brooklyn's hand and my child who doesnt go to ANY stranger walked away from me and never even looked back, she had no fear. It simply melted my heart.
