Sisters

2009 was a fantastic year for me. I was quite sad to see it leave. One of the reasons why i loved 2009 so much was the quality time i spent with my sister. Tara spoils Brooklyn and i rotten. Since Brooklyn spends Saturday nights with her day, Tara and i have turned Saturday nights into sister nights. She wines me and dines me. She takes me to nice restaurants. We frequently watch my friend play at a local restaurant and share a bottle of wine. We watch movies. Spend hours laughing at you tube videos. She dyes my hair. Me talk on the couch in pjs till 2 am. We have also been planning our 1 week long trip to Jamaica the first week of June. I have come to love my Brooklyn free Saturday nights, they have helped he reconnect with my best friend!

First day of dance class

Brooklyn has come a long way from her first class in November. My favorite part in this video is when she jumps with excitement, it makes my heart jumps with excitement!!

My Prima Ballerina

The highlight of our week is always Wednesday night at 4:30. Since the day she was born I had waited for the moment that i could sign Brooklyn up for tap/ballet classes. From the moment i found out she was a girl the my dreams of a little ballerina began. Visions of pink tights, pink leotards, shiny new tap shoes, ribbon in her hair and tutus have been building up inside me for 3 years. Finally she was old enough and i was tickled pink as i signed her up. I signed her up at the same studio i had danced at as a child. Tara and i took her shopping and bought 10 of the most adorable and sparkly outfits we could find. I love watching her, she definitely a natural. I see many recitals and dance shows in our future. She has become my dream come true!

while driving home from work and making a left turn-
Brooklyn: "mommy do you like turning left?"
Mommy: "well, just as much as i like turing right"
Brooklyn:"oh"

after receiving a balloon from the lady at the grocery store and a lollipop from the lady at the bank-
Brooklyn: "mommy me must be a very nice good gurl to get very special treats"
Mommy: "you definitly are"
Brooklyn: "ah, sank you mommy"

While sitting outside on her princess chair right in front of Jayden
Brooklyn: "Jayden me tells you a story. Once upon a time there was a very nice and beauisful mommy in da house...."
Mommy (while peaking through the blinds) "ohhhhhh"
Brooklyn: "mommy me need my privacy"

While playing with her princesses
"Mommy you need to come talk to Beast"
"why, what is he doing?"
"He is knocking all the princesses over"

She keeps me smiling :)

my 2 and a 1/2 year old

My 6 month old
My little girl is getting so big. She has only been around for 2 1/2 years but its funny because i don't remember life without her. Brooklyn is doing so well in school. I just had my first parent teacher conference and her teachers told me that her review was the only one that didn't have any negative remarks on it. They sad that Brooklyn is a very smart, mature and sensitive child. She never is aggressive with other children. They never see her hit, kick or yell at other kids. They in fact said they are working with her and trying to teach her to yell when a child is mean or trying to take her toy. Brooklyn is now in the process of moving out of the toddler room and into the primary preschool classroom. I am a proud mom. Brooklyn never throws a tantrum at home or at school. She still is a little whiner though.

Its been a year since i bought her potty chair and in a couple months one whole without diapers!!!! As you can see she likes to bring company with her into the bathroom. Yesterday at Disneyland we were waiting in line for the tram then when finally our tram was the next one to come she tells me "mommy me need to go peepee". I asked if she could hold it until we got into the park and she sad "yes". I knew it was asking a lot from her. But sure enough without a problem she held it for the ten-15 minutes into the park.

Here are some of the funny things Brooklyn has said lately.

Mom: (i am in the restroom and hear some weird noises) Brooklyn what are you doing?
Brooklyn: I'm doing funny things
Mom: are you, now? what sort of funny are you doing?
Brooklyn:I'm making funny faces at the doggies

Brooklyn:Are you one of my pets? (asking me)
Mom: no i am your mommy but lacey, jayden and romeo are your pets
Brooklyn:are you sure?

anytime I ask her to help me with something and she doesn't want to help she says "mommy yous a big girl mommy, don't worry you can do it by yourself"
I just love my little monster. Watching her grow has been the most amazing experience of my life.

our last two disneyland visits

Disneyland is still one of our favorite places to go. We try to go at least once every other week. Brooklyn's Favs are the Princesses, anyy show or parade and the Tiki room. Our newest rides have been pirates and toy story. Both were a little scary but she seemed to enjoy them too.
