new toy

Gigi bought Brooklyn a water table. We spent the WHOLE day outside playing in it. Next week i am going to buy her a pool with a slide. We will never even need to leave the backyard!

The Good Life

In celebration of Brooklyn not being sick we decided to head to the beach! We didn't really go to the beach, it is actually a back bay. It is the "beach" i grew up at and it is so much fun to be able to bring Brooklyn there! We had so much fun. When we first arrived we were the only ones there which i selfishly enjoyed. Brooklyn and i were able to do the silly things that we normally do. We made sandcastles, which Brooklyn was really excited about. We bring our sand toys to the parks all the time and Brooklyn has gotten really good at filling the buckets with her shovel. But we have never been able to build sandcastles because of the lack of water. Brooklyn quickly figured out how to do it herself. When we first arrived Brooklyn was so excited about the mass amount of sand that she didn't even realize the water, but when she finally did she was so excited. Without hesitation Brooklyn ran straight in. I had a really hard time peeling her way from to water to leave. I cant wait for our next beach trip!

I feel so fortunate to be able to spend this time with my baby. She is such a smart and wonderful baby to be around and i thank God for giving us the Good Life!

Nothing says friendship more than sharing a meal together! Joey and Brooklyn have grown up together and they are quite simply best friends!

they give me fever...

Brooklyn suddenly came down with a fever on Monday. The fever last till Wednesday night. It was odd because she didn't have any other symptoms. I worriedly ran through all the possibilities, could it be the stomach flu starting, luekimia (seriously), was i just making it up... than this morning while changing her diaper i noticed 4 new teeth had just broke through. My poor child had to cut 4 teeth all at one time. I can tell she is still very uncomfortable but at least there isnt a fever! Since her mouth has been hurting she likes to "brush" her teeth for at least 45 minutes. Here is my angel brushing her teeth, watching elmo and standing in the trunk of her car!

Pillow fight

Brooklyn sits on my bed and yells "momma, momma, moooooooommmmmmmaaaaaa" until i come in. As soon as i walk into the room she squeals and starts hitting herself and me with the pillow! We have hourly pillow fights!

Smile for the camera

Brooklyn has finally learned the concept of "smiling for the camera"! It is so cute. I have always tried to get Brooklyn to look at the camera and smile by saying "Brooklyn smile for the camera", but she up to now didn't understand. When i ask her to do it now she runs up close to the camera, squats down, pulls her chin in close to her chest and smiles a huge cheesy smile! Sometimes i don't get a smile, she just gives me a very vogue look!
