so today...
So today i had just rotated the laundry and put a load of clean clothes on the couch. I then went to put a new load in the wash and when i returned i found the whole pile of clean clothes in the kitchen trash! Brooklyn's new favorite thing to do is "clean up"! Brooklyn likes things tidy and organized (i swear this child is not from my loins)! She saw that i was cleaning so she decided to help...she is such a big girl!

Green
Julie, your true color is Green!
You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

update
Well i am so bummed because my camera broke! I just dont know what i am going to do without it for a couple weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Instead of adorable pictures of my little cutie pie i will just give an update! Brooklyn had a cold all last week so we just laid low. We went to the park one day and to the aquarium another day. The day we went to the aquarium it was so beautiful and sunny so i decided to walk over to shoreline village which is a good 25 minute walk away. Brooklyn fell asleep during the walk so i sat on a bench and watched the boats come in and out of the harbor for a good hour. It was so relaxing! I even got a little sun. We then got some lunch and sat on a table overlooking the harbor. It was a fabulous day. Our old neighbor Cheryl was down from Washington this weekend and stayed with us. She is 4 months pregnant so we had a good time talking pregnancy, baby names and breastfeeding! Valentines day was so much fun. We made heart shaped cupcakes and i let her eat one for breakfast. We then went and surprised Gigi at work with ballons and flowers and we even took her out to lunch. Brooklyn got to visit with her dad so i took the dogs to the dogs park and surprised a few friends with flowers! It was the best Valentines day in years!!!!!!!!!
Brooklyn
Brooklyn's favorite toy still is her shape sorter. She has gotton so good at it. She just this week figured out how to match the shapes instead of just trying to put all shapes in all the holes. She can sit and play with that toy for a good 30 minutes. She is so cute after she has put all the shapes in their holes she walks up to me and wants me to open it so she can dump them out and start all over.
Brooklyn has learned how to open the front and back door. Yep my little 15 month old can now take herself outside...scary!!! We now have to keep the doors constantly locked!
Brooklyn also now will take herself to bed. She will just up and leave the livingroom say "nigh nigh" and walk into her dark room and climb up the side of her crib. It is so sweet to watch!

brings out the best in me
Brooklyn has taught me many many things. One big thing she has helped me find is a sense of adventure. I could easily spend the whole day inside, doors shut, curtains closed. But now i wake up excited to go outside. Brooklyn and i cant get outside quick enough each morning. If I tell her that she needs to get dressed before we go outside she will run down the hall into her room and come out a few minutes later with herself 1/2 way undressed and new clothes and shoes in her hand. She sometimes will even put a hat on her head! Her and i can spend the whole day wondering the neighborhood, collecting rocks, smelling all the flowers, carrying as many sticks and leaves as our hands and pockets can carry, visiting friends and hitting up the neighborhood park for some swinging and sliding! I cant wait for it to be summer so we can go to the beach and have swimming lessons and all the fun things summer holds!
One of Brooklyns new favorite games while changing her diaper is to do a "body part" run down. Here are all the parts she points to and also when asked can tell you where they are located! She is so smart!

A day fit for a Princess
My Little Princess
Sitting in Minnies chair
I was so excited to return to Disneyland, excited enough to skip down Main Street! We decided that because last time we only did Fantasy Land we would do Toontown this visit! Again we had a fabulous time. We got to see Minnie and Mickey which was Brooklyns highlight of the trip! We also did the Princess walk which Brooklyn also loved! Cant wait for next and a new land...
like a diamond in the sky...
One of Brooklyn's favorite songs is "twinkle twinkle little star"! She has now mastered making the "diamond in the sky"! She puts her thumbs together and her pointer fingers together. I have had a hard time catching it on film, these pictures are the best i could do! Sorry for the sugar on her hands she was eating a churro at disneyland!

My Man Jackson
We spent the day with my friend Lisa nad her precious son Jackson! We had lunch at Ruby's on the Huntington Beach pier and than played at Central Park. The kids had so much fun together! They shared their lunch and enjoyed an ice cream cone. At the park they went up the jungle gym and down the slide over and over and over and over again!!!!! We are all going to sleep well tonight!
